[August 2021]
fundsforNGOs believes in assisting NGOs working in various sectors and help them in building sustainable and effective strategies that will empower them to benefit community at large.
Today, we will discuss one such important sector, i.e., ‘Youth Development.’ Every year on August 12, the world celebrates International Youth Day to raise awareness about the challenges and problems young people face worldwide. This year, The #YouthLead Innovation Festival is a celebration of innovative youth-led solutions for achieving the SDGs and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year’s theme, “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health,” will highlight that the success of such a global effort will not be achieved without the meaningful participation of young people. It has been acknowledged that there is a need to ensure that youth continue to amplify efforts collectively and individually to restore the planet and protect life, while integrating biodiversity in the transformation of food systems.
Therefore, this day provides the platform to highlight great innovative work of young women, LGBTQI youth, indigenous youth, migrants, refugees, stateless youth, young people with disabilities, and the creative work that aims to support them. As we aim to provide NGOs with necessary resources, on this day, we have developed a list of open opportunities to guide them better towards youth development.
