Every year, on 7th April, the World Health day is observed by government, non-government organizations, and health organizations to spread information and awareness about the importance of health to human beings. This day also ensures that all people and communities get proper access to the healthcare facilities when they need it and wherever they are without discrimination of any kind.
The new theme brings out the underlying and core issues that need to be strategized so that they can be addressed throughout the year. This year, World Health Day 2020 will shine a light on the vital role played by nurses and midwives in providing health care around the world, and call for a strengthening of the nursing and midwifery workforce.
Recently, the outbreak of new coronavirus disease (COVID‑19) is causing respiratory illness worldwide, prompting the WHO to declare the condition as a global pandemic. The virus has spread to more than 135 countries in Asia, Europe, North America, and the Middle East, thus putting the world’s economy in survival mode.
As the world further shuts down in the wake of deadly coronavirus, several NGOs and grant-makers have raised their hands and step up their efforts to support communities, vulnerable people, small businesses, food banks, school-meal programs, and related food-security organizations to fight the Covid-19 outbreak.
There are several foundations and organizations that have come up with millions of funding to address this pandemic that hit nations globally. Therefore, to assist NGOs better, we have compiled some open opportunities for the betterment of community health care around the world.
