Through a year-round grant competition, Development Innovation Ventures (DIV) sources proposals for innovations that address international development challenges and improve the lives of people living in poverty in developing countries around the world. DIV provides tiered funding to pilot, test, and transition to scale (i.e., grow to reach the highest number of beneficiaries possible) those innovations that demonstrate evidence of impact, cost-effectiveness, and the potential to scale.
DIV funds four types of grants. Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3 grants follow a tiered approach that aligns the funding amount to the strength of the evidence of impact, cost-effectiveness, and scalability of the proposed innovation. Evidence Generation grants are reserved for rigorous evaluations of already scaled or scaling development solutions that lack sufficient rigorous evidence of impact and cost-effectiveness.

Story Grants to Strengthen Environmental Coverage in Western Amazon

Internews’ EJN is offering story grants of USD 1,500 to USD 2,500 to journalists to produce stories on transnational conservation crimes in the Amazon Region and the threats faced by Indigenous peoples and local communities in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, and Peru.
The project aims to facilitate safe and effective collaboration among journalists, independent media, and communicators to support the production of content that amplifies Indigenous peoples’ and local communities’ issues. CCBO seeks to prevent single-use plastics and other waste from entering Samaná’s waters and other natural environments. Making progress towards this goal requires building a sustainable enabling environment with appropriate regulations, promoting the 3Rs, better access to recycling markets and reuse opportunities, enhanced operating systems for the existing SWM infrastructure combined with more efficient equipment and technologies, and raising the municipal governments and public’s awareness on waste reduction and waste separation at source as fundamental elements.

The purpose of South Africa Limpopo Province Care and Treatment Activity 2023 -2028 is to achieve and sustain HIV epidemic control and support the elimination of TB through government-led and locally led solutions that enable access to equitable health care, accelerate the reach of comprehensive HIV, TB, and other infectious disease responses, and progressively transitions toward long-term ownership, sustainability, and self-reliance.
