(January 2021)
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world“. Today, the education system is undergoing the most significant shift ever due to this pandemic. It has never been interrupted at the fundamental level globally, until now.
Therefore, this year, the International Day of Education will focus on to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Celebrated every year on 24 January, this day offers children a ladder out of poverty and a path to a promising future.
This year’s theme Recover and revitalize education for the COVID-19 generation highlights that now is the time to step up collaboration and international solidarity to recover and revitalize the disrupted learning due to the pandemic. And as rightly said by Secretary Gutters, a lot needs to be done to achieve inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong opportunities for all.
We hope this difficult time might get restricted soon, but this is only possible when we will re-strategize and develop solutions that can build up the education sector globally. Therefore, to contribute to rebuilding the education system, we are bringing you a list of open opportunities for NGOs, working to place education and lifelong learning at the center of the recovery and the transformation.
