Every year the 18th of July is observed as Nelson Mandela International Day to honor the legacy of Nelson Mandela, the former President of South Africa and a global icon for his lifelong dedication to promoting peace, equality, and human rights.

The theme of this year is Climate, Food & Solidarity to take action against climate change and create food-resilient environments in solidarity with communities across the world facing crisis due to climate change. This year, the call to action is, “It’s in your hands”.
