Every year on March 8, the world celebrates “International Women’s Day” to appreciate and recognize women’s outstanding community-building contributions.
During COVID time, we have seen tremendous efforts by women and girls worldwide in shaping an equal future and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, this year’s theme, Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world, shines a light upon the women’s full and effective participation to effectively lead in COVID-19 response and recovery efforts.
